Therapy in Bellevue, WA

Depth-oriented therapy for professionals, college students, and older teens navigating anxiety, burnout, relationships, and life transitions.

Bellevue can be a rewarding place to build a career and life.

It can also be an easy place to become emotionally disconnected from yourself.

Many people I work with are competent, thoughtful, and successful on paper, yet internally struggling with anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, or a persistent sense that something feels off despite outward achievement.

My practice offers depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults and older teens in Bellevue seeking more than short-term symptom management.

My Approach

Many people come to me after trying a previous therapy that focused on symptoms but didn’t address the cause.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic and existential theories—which broadly focus on 1) your relationships (e.g., family, friends, partners, colleagues, how you relate to yourself) and 2) meaning-making (what is your life about?).

My approach is especially useful for people who look successful but never feel like they’re doing their best. People who feel stuck despite knowing what steps to take, even after taking many of them. People who feel lost after reaching a big goal, or because a big decision is staring them right in the face.

Why Some People Seek Therapy in Bellevue

Of course, there are many reasons why people in Bellevue seek therapy. No one is the same. But a common theme?

Striving.

Many of my patients strain under the pressure of working for big tech companies, with high demand, low certainty about their job security, and often a misalignment between what they love and what they do each day. Even those outside of tech catch the spillover of this culture in the workplace. Similarly, parents and students alike often feel pressure from their peers to achieve far beyond what most people expect. Add on the isolation of modern life, the constant stress of commuting in a city riddled with construction, and the constant worry of change and unpredictability, and it's no wonder that therapists in Bellevue keep busy.

At my Bellevue therapy office, I do my best to counter these problems. The office is conveniently located near the 520 and 405 corridors, making it easily accessible from wherever you are in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, or Seattle.

As a private pay therapist, I don't need to keep long waitlists and my team generally responds to you the same day. When you message me, you know you'll hear back.

And although my office is a professional place and I hold myself to a high standard of care, it's a place you can be you. Without judgment or expectation. My office is a place of restoration.

This is a therapy built around you.

Why In-Person Matters

While many patients choose virtual therapy, some find that meeting in person allows for a different level of focus and engagement.

I designed my office collaboratively with a healthcare designer to create a warm, professional space for your sessions. From the seating, to the lighting, to the art on the walls, it's all intentional. The office serves as a container for the deeply personal material you share with me, and you deserve the best container I can create. I encourage you to consider at least one meeting here.

You don't have to worry about your family or roommates hearing you in my office. We never have to worry about bad signal or tech issues. Many folks also find the ritual of coming to a place dedicated to your therapy helpful to both initiate and close the vulnerability necessary for effective therapy.
