Where are you located?

My office is conveniently located near the intersection of I-405 and 520, at 1611 NE 116th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. Some example drive times:

Downtown Bellevue: 5min
Kirkland: 10min
Redmond: 12min
University of Washington: 12min
Downtown Seattle: 15min

For virtual clients, I'm based in Washington and can see people anywhere in Washington, Massachusetts, or any of the participating PsyPact states.

How do I schedule a session?

Very easily. If you are not currently a patient, contact us to schedule a free 15 minute consult to see if we are a good fit. If you are a patient, call 206-504-3261 or email us at hello@forefrontpsychology.com and Dr Jon Reeves or his care coordination team will return your message as soon as possible--usually within 24 hours.

Do I need to fill any forms?

There are a few forms that we will send online once you schedule a therapy session with Dr Jon Reeves. These are sent via email for your convenience and access--you can always view them in your online client portal.

Do you offer online therapy, does it work, and how does it work?

I see many patients online through synchronous video or phone sessions. Research supports the effectiveness of remote therapy and there are some distinct advantages: you can have sessions somewhere you feel most comfortable and secure, you don't need to commute, and many folks appreciate the ease of scheduling when traveling to an office would be inaccessible or take too much time. I use the healthcare HIPAA-compliant professional version of Zoom, though occasionally people prefer phone sessions and I am happy to conduct therapy this way too.​ Some folks are skeptical about therapy online but in my experience, most people like it once they try.

Are you licensed in my state or country?

I am licensed in Washington State (License # PY61003047) and Massachusetts (License # 10682). In addition, I serve states participating in the PsyPact Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT; 14747). You can see a current map of those states here or see the list below:

What’s your cancellation policy?

What happens if I can't get in touch with you?

As the sole owner of an outpatient therapy practice, I don't have the resources to provide 24/7 crisis care. ​​This is something I discuss with every patient and is included in my intake paperwork. However, if you do need to speak with someone after hours or between our sessions you call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, call the national suicide hotline (988), or call the Seattle Crisis Clinic (206-263-9200) or the Boston Mobile Crisis Team (1-800-981-4357) depending on your location.​​
If I were ever unable to be reached due to serious illness or death, I have a professional will in place. This plan designates trusted colleagues and family members to manage any necessary communications and records according to ethical and legal standards. I can’t promise immortality, but I can promise that I’ve thoughtfully prepared for such a situation, with your care and continuity in mind.
